Compromís has displayed a message on one of the giant screens in Times Square, New York, during the visit of the President of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, to the United States, to 'remind him of his disastrous management of the dana'. The screen shows Mazón alongside images of the floods, with the message in Valencian 'We have 228 reasons for you not to return'.

Compromís MEP Vicent Marzà has stated that 'no matter how far Mazón hides, like now going to New York to avoid attending the Santa Faz in Alicante and hearing what people think of him, the Valencian people do not forget his irresponsibility during the dana, with 228 fatalities'.

Marzà has condemned in a statement that the head of the Consell 'has not hesitated to travel over 6,000 kilometres to avoid facing the criticism from the protests that greet him at every public appearance'.

Among them, the Compromís MEP mentioned events at the University of Alicante, the Palm Sunday Procession in Elche, the Fallas in Valencia, and the Magdalena festivities in Castelló.
