President of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, has announced that the Valencian government "will launch public financing lines for companies in the Valencian Community with interests in the United States." This statement was made by the head of the Consell following a working meeting with a delegation of Valencian Community companies established in Miami.
The head of the Consell explained that this initiative adds to the actions of the External Promotion Plan which "will boost Valencian products in the US market with more resources during this transition period." For Mazón, the goal is "to continue betting on the United States to maintain, establish, and grow in this area with an ambitious proposal supported by companies established in this market."
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Marián Cano, the Executive Director of the Spain-US Chamber of Commerce, Juan Carlos Pereira, and the Commercial Attaché of the Spanish Embassy in Miami, María Dolores Fernández. Subsequently, they held a working lunch which also included members of the Valencian Regional Centre of Florida (CEVEX).
Mazón emphasized that "we want to maintain this excellent commercial relationship with the United States and seize this opportunity against other competitors with the aim of emerging stronger."
The head of the Consell highlighted the work of Valencian Community companies that have established themselves in this country, which he described as "the best market in the world for quality products from our land."
Thus, Mazón valued the example of Valencian companies established in the United States to "promote the Valencian Community brand with these standards that differentiate us from our competitors in high-end products that make us strong in this market to which we will not renounce."
Therefore, he advocated for "being ambitious to expand our presence in this country in deeply rooted sectors such as ceramics, footwear, furniture, chemicals, and agri-food, among others," while highlighting the ability of Valencian, Castellon, and Alicante companies to "overcome adversities."
Additionally, the president noted that Miami is a strategic market for the Valencian Community "where we have much to say, besides being a bridge to South and Central America."
